Oysters: Natural and Kilpatrick

Uncles Wally and Vit are passionate about oysters. And since every body of water around has its own micro-niche of oyster colonies they can afford to be picky and prefer the bodies of water that are closest to them. Uncle Wally bought 5 dozen oysters for us and we had them in two styles: natural (a mixture of fresh lemon juice with black pepper) and Kilpatrick (a mixture of boubon, aged cheddar and for everyone but me, bacon, warmed until the cheese melts). In these pictures Uncle Wally shucks the oysters and makes the famous Kilpatrick sauce. The beer is for the cook.
